Itinerary
CULTURAL NHA TRANG CITY TOUR ITINERARY IN DETAILS
Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel at 9.00 am to start the Cultural Nha Trang City Tour.
Our first stop is the Oceanographic Institute; Established in 1923, it was one of the first centers for scientific research in Vietnam and is an important location for tropical oceanographic research. You can see some of the local marine life, along with a comprehensive collection of specimens of marine life.
We then carry on our trip to visit the Cathedral (Catholic Church); Built between 1928 and 1933 in French Gothic style, complete with stained-glass windows. The stone-made Church with the 38 meter-high bell tower stands on a hill in the downtown of Nha Trang city. The Church has a capacity of 1,000 seats.
We will continue our Cultural Nha Trang City Tour to visit the Long Son Pagoda; the most impressive construction in Nha Trang is Long Son Pagoda founded in 19th century. After several renovations, the biggest one in 1963 when the huge white Buddha was built in the memory of the monks and nuns who burnt themselves to protest against religious persecution. On the high flat ground you will have a general view of the city far below. You can see the web-like a maze of streets and roads and houses and the river gently winding along.
Next, we will visit the Ponagar Temple; These cham towers were built during 7th century to honor the goddess Ponagar considered to be the mother of mothers, the goddess of the country, who came to be identified with the Hindu goddesses Bhagavati and Mahishasuramardini. From the towers you see the panoramic views of the river meeting the blue Sea.
The following destination of Cultural Nha Trang City Tour is the Hon Chong Rocks; A beautiful spot with gorgeous views….. Many folk legends surrounding these huge, smooth rocks. The Hon Chong is not only attractive to visitors to Nha Trang but also no less allure to the local inhabitants, children as well as grown-ups who have made frequent visits to this place.
The last destination of our Cultural Nha Trang City Tour is the Dam Market;
The market on the swamp, Dam Market is Nha Trang's central market. Located in the heart of Nha Trang City, Dam Market is not only the main Trade Centre with various merchandises but also the interesting part of town and a good place to get away from the tourist centre. Here you can experience the hustle and bustle of a local fish, meat, and vegetable market and actually feel a different way of life from your own.
Your delicious lunch will be served to you at a very nice restaurant.
The Cultural Nha Trang City Tour will end about 3.00 pm. We will take you back and drop you off at your hotel.
